The Financial Planner works within a team environment in the gathering of all pertinent information for financial plans, analyzing the information, preparing financial plans, and reviewing the plan results with the Wealth Advisor and the client. In addition, the Financial Planner may be involved in the preparation of individual tax returns from time to time.
Responsible for all aspects of coordination financial planning services, including meeting with client and Wealth Advisor to gather information, input of data into financial planning software, analyzing the data, and reviewing the resulting financial plan with the Wealth Advisor and the client.
Develop and maintain the relationship with clients who pay a fee for a financial plan, providing service throughout the term of the engagement.
Learn and competently apply tax preparation software utilized for personal tax returns.
Keep current regarding tax law changes through research and participation in learning activities.
Obtain and maintain appropriate professional designations related to financial planning and tax preparation.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Perform duties with frequent interruptions and time pressures
Maintain mental concentration and visual attention for extended periods of time
Analyze and solve problems based on a broad knowledge of many factors and where advanced and technical concepts must be applied
Certified Financial Planner designation or progress towards such designation to be completed within two years.
