Under broad guidance, the Financial Analyst is responsible for: Performing the monthly and annual accounting close and distributing related reports to supervisors, managers, directors, and other staff. Assists in the evaluation and preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets (the Budget). Assists in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).Compiles fixed asset records for grants, capital assets, and all new assets acquired. Managing capital project financing, which includes different debt instrument types and ensuring Trust agreement and other compliance and disclosure requirements.Analyzing all cash related activities and investments within HRSD to ensure financial viability. Ensuring clean audits and strong accounting controls.
Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance or Accounting required and a Master’s in Business, Finance or Accounting and a CPA are desired.
