As an integral part of the CCM Advisory Team, the Associate Wealth Advisor works closely with wealth advisors and senior advisors in providing clients with fully integrated wealth management services. The Associate Wealth Advisor is involved in coordinated back of the house activities as well as client-facing contacts, helping to manage all tactical activities associated with client service. This includes coordinating investment management, estate, tax, insurance, retirement and philanthropic planning so that the advisory team is very effective and efficient in their work. It is an expectation that this role is an entry point for ongoing development into the role of Integrated Wealth Advisor.
Performs a wide range of financial planning duties for both new and existing clients, including retirement modeling, risk management/insurance analysis (with assistance), educational modeling, reviews of estate plan documents (with assistance), reviews of tax situation (with assistance from CPA on staff) and other applicable financial planning topics. Works closely with CCM’s Paraplanner role to collect and analyze data.
Provides proactive client service both individually and collaboratively.
Reviews, edits and updates proposals prior to client presentations. May participate in presenting specified components of the financial plan.
Executes implementation schedules.
Works within a defined system where client contact is made on a scheduled, proactive basis. Assists the wealth advisors in managing client contacts, preparing agendas, organizing plans, anticipating and scheduling client review meetings, and providing appropriate follow-up.
Participates in the portfolio review/monitoring process and works in collaboration with investment team to manage cash flow, tax issues, etc. associated with client portfolios.
Supports CCM’s business development efforts such as prospect list management, discovery meeting prep and monitoring client on-boarding process.
Develops unique style of inviting prospects, gatekeepers and centers of influence into the firm’s Circle of Care.
Any other duties as requested by the Integrated Wealth Advisors or senior leadership of the firm.
Bachelor’s degree required. Major in math, finance, accounting, or business preferred
Commitment to the attainment of the CFP® certification within 36 months is required
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial services and caring for client relationships, preferably within an RIA environment
A fundamental knowledge of wealth management and client relationship management principles
Experience providing support to diverse segments of the client marketplace, including the generating of reports, client data analysis, and presentation preparation
Comfort and expertise in a range of communication skills (oral, written, presentations, electronic)
Demonstrated technical capabilities in the various areas of an integrated planning platform preferred, including proven experience with client relationship management (CRM) software and MS Office solutions
