This is a professional position that supports the firm’s Lead Adviser. You will be expected to assist in various projects including; data input, preparation of planning worksheets, and client entry through the firm’s various technology platforms. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter, goal oriented team player and have a working knowledge of the basic principles of finance, investments, and portfolio allocation. Must have obtained, or be in pursuit of CFP® status or equivalent.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
Prepare financial plans, tax, retirement and education analysis as well as ad hoc planning requests from clients consistent with the firm’s Financial Planning model
Create presentations and meeting collateral and attend client meetings in a technical and supporting role to the Lead Adviser
Coordinate implementation of planning and investment recommendations in conjunction with the Lead Advisor
Establish communication with new and existing clients on status of their financial plans, meeting agendas and open items in a timely and efficient manner
Understand how to communicate Beacon's investment strategies and allocations
Assist in follow-up correspondence and post meeting record retention
Maintain client records to ensure essential information (driver’s license, tax returns, wills etc) are up to date and organized to firm standards
Contribute to firm’s long-term growth and client satisfaction
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
Have obtained, or in pursuit of CFP® or other comparable planning designations
Basic financial acumen and analytical skills including a familiarity with basic financial statements
Demonstrate strong oral, verbal and written communication skills both internal and client facing
Organized with a strong attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Show curiosity and initiative when dealing with team members, desire to work within small company environment
Must successfully pass all background checks required in the regulated business of a Registered Investment Advisory Firm (RIA)
Knowledge of Emoney software or a general understanding of planning software’s within the industry
Must uphold Client Confidentiality, Firm Privacy, Trust, Positive Attitude, Teamwork, Respect for Others, Dependability, and a Strong Work Ethic at all times.
