ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for an experienced financial advisor/planner with an existing book of business to join our dedicated team of professionals in our Hauppauge office. You would be providing your/our clients with superior tools, information and communications to make the complex process of financial planning simpler and more transparent. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to become part of an established investment management organization with the potential to grow his or her practice and move to the next level.
Assess client’s overall financial picture, understand their needs and develop a solid financial plan
Provide strategic advice across a variety of financial products and services
Network, generate leads and create opportunities for business
Cultivate client base and build win-win relationships
Keep abreast of new industry trends and research market to back up financial consulting
Comply with all industry rules and regulations
Liaise with providers, solicitors, valuers and other professionals
A minimum 4 years of proven work experience as a financial advisor/planner
Existing book of business (minimum $100k Gross Dealer Concessions/year)
BS degree in Finance or related field
Series 7 and life and health insurance licenses
CFP, CHFC, Certified Life Underwriter a plus although not required
Ability to analyze market’s financial data and provide appropriate data-based advice
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
Excellent PC knowledge and ability to operate database systems
