Progeny Systems Corporation is seeking a full-time Accountant experienced in government job cost accounting, processing of travel & expense reports, multistate sales and use tax, multistate property taxes, fixed assets and depreciation, 1099/1098 reporting for its Manassas, VA site. BS degree in accounting is required with 3+ years of work experience and working knowledge of FAR/DFAR, Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) as well as DFAS and WAWF systems are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working experience in government contracting and cost accounting
Knowledge of FAR/DFAR, JFTR, state/local S&U and property taxes
Purchasing cards and GL accounts reconciliations
Ability to independently research and resolve compliance and vendor issues
Experience with Deltek FMS preferred
Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, PowerPoint, advanced Excel)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
3+ years of experience in gov’t contracting
This position may require the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
