The Springfield Headquarters is currently seeking applicants to fill a Manager, Audit Services position in the Executive Division. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the completion of multiple audits of varying complexities at AECI with a focus on financial, operational and compliance risks on a company-wide basis. This position oversees contractual audits at member G&T’s and inventory observations at AECI power plants.
Develop and manage an annual audit plan, including examination of organizational records, analyzing data, conducting interviews, offering suggestions for improvements in operations and reductions in cost, and monitoring and tracking areas requiring attention. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and policies.
Manage and lead annual contract year-end audits for transmission reimbursement to the six-member G&T cooperatives. This involves auditing work orders, tracking capitalized facilities costs, operations & maintenance, general and administrative expenses, and other expenses and reporting results. Reporting annually on billing demand is also required.
Act as an advisor on audit/control issues to management, the Chief Compliance Officer, the CEO/General Manager, and Board of Directors.
Lead department staff including recruitment, development, training, job performance, salary administration and succession planning as well as departmental budgeting.
An estimated 30% travel is required to AECI’s member G&T’s, power plants or as needed for other assignments.
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, or related field required.
Minimum of ten years of supervision and development of technical staff, managing and conducting audits, special pro-jects, annual budgeting and cost management.
Audit and accounting experience within the utility industry is preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is desired.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills utilizing Microsoft Office and Audit Software.
