Well established Southcoast CPA firm is seeking a CPA with 5 plus years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong tax background with emphasis on individual, business, and trust work. We are looking for a CPA who is interested in a long-term career path with increasing responsibilities as one of our partners will be reaching semi-retirement age in the next few years. Our firm provides accounting, tax planning and tax preparation services. Client relationship skills, organization, and willingness to work as part of a team are extremely important to us.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Directly support firm's clients by providing accounting and business consulting.
Handle routine client tax questions, research tax issues and work with clients to collect the necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
Independently prepare and coordinate the timely filings of individual, corporate, partnership and trust tax returns.
Review and respond to IRS and state tax notices when necessary.
Licensed CPA with 5 plus years of experience. MST is a plus.
Previous QuickBooks experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong computer skills.
